Delusions of Grandeur

Excuse my absence from the blogging world. I have been fighting a serious case of TBA. I am glad to say I've gotten over it hopefully. We shall see. On to the post.

The past couple of weeks I've had the urge to take millions of pictures. Whit can attest to this. I really don't know what's gotten into me. Well this might have something to do with it:
Beside the obviousness of my asian genes it might have to do more with the apps on the iphone. I bought one that mimics a holga and I was taking more pictures with it than an asian tourist at Disneyland. So Whit being the rad Wife she is got me this for my birthday:

So this last weekend I took it out for a little test run and this is what came out.
Apparently photography skills don't come natural to me like kung fu but I guess I'll just have to practice. I also busted out Whit's old Canon rebel and got some black and white film.

I think the best part of it all was waiting for the film to get developed. It's been years since I last took some pictures without knowing what they looked like instant after. It was exactly like I remembered it. I would take a picture thinking it would look amazing only for it to come out nothing like I thought it would. Maybe that is why asians take so many pictures they figure that in all the shots at least one will turn out. Guess I'll just carry my camera around everywhere I go now.

I think your asian genes must be kicking into high gear because those look awesome. Also, I used the Holga a lot in London - love it!
